During hurricane Irene I called Lynch because a tree was beginning to fall onto the neighbor's garage. They came out and removed 3 trees. They called me back and came to see the tree the day I called (Sunday). They gave a fair price and were out the next day cleaning up when other people I called began to call be back. I had an estimate from Lynch Landscape & Tree Service Inc two months ago for log clean up and pruning of trees as well as shrubs. I actually did not have the work done but I really want to say how pleased I was with them for being a good sport about it. They were extremely courteous the entire time. They spent all the time I needed to give me a detailed estimate. They broke it down several times and we went back and forth a few times on the estimate. The day before they were due to come, I decided not have the work done. They were extremely understanding and professional about that and said that they still hope to see me in the future. They were extremely in good terms. I had been concerned that they would show unhappiness because I cancelled the job with a very short notice but they were extremely professional and nice about it. A tree limb partially fell and became a hazard. Needed to be cut down and taken away. A huge part of my tree fell down in my yard the day before an outdoor party involving kids. It wasn't really safe the way it had fallen. Lynch was great and came by the very day as they knew about the party and they were fast, efficient and cleaned up nicely and the price was right. We used Lynch Landscape & Tree Service Inc. and they cut our grass here over the summer and we lined them up to do plowing while we were away and we plan to use them next summer. We spent $45 to plow the driveway, which was very competitive. We don't remember how much it was for the grass cutting, but it came in right in the middle of the estimates that we got. The man that came over and did the estimates was very friendly and very professional. It is a local company in the next town. The quality is very good. The punctuality has not been a problem. Seasonal close-down of sprinkler system. I had used them a month or so earlier to fix some heads. Called on Friday and they scheduled me for 2:30 on Saturday. Chip showed up on time and was very friendly. I was interested in how to perform the service and he was happy to explain each step as he went through them. Then he stepped around with me as each station was cleaning out showing me what to watch out for next season as far as where there heads showing signs of wear. When I had a specific question about a wet spot, he took a lot of time to explain some of the possible problems and said they'd be happy to look at it for me next season. He gave me lots of great information and I didn't feel like he was pushing me into repair sales. He definitely seemed to know his stuff. One example was that when I said I didn't think the rain gauge worked he took it apart and showed me how it worked and explained how sometimes people think they're broken because they just don't understand them. We had a massive 80 yr old spruce that hung over our home. After over 10 years of living in its shadow, the constant rain of needles, sap and pine cones everywhere, not to mention the light it blocked coming inside, we decided it was time to have it removed. We got 3 quotes altogether, one from another Angie's list recommended tree service and one from a local fellow. The other 2 came in too high for our budget. We also had 5 other trees removed. I couldn't be more pleased with the work that Lynch did. Not only were they fair priced, it was professional all the way. I got phone calls letting me know where and when they would show up, or if they were running late. It was wet and rainy during their time here, and the crew put down plywood for their trucks to drive on to minimize the damage to the fragile spring lawn. They worked in the pouring rain, the crew had a great attitude. (I used another tree service in the past where the foreman was yelling expletives at his crew and I had to cover my kid's ears). The spruce was no easy tree to remove, almost 4 stories tall, but they made quick work of it. They cleaned up so nicely afterwards, too. I did have the crew lay down fresh loam, which they did as well as reseeding and fertilizing. I was thrilled to hear that the spruce being so tall, straight and healthy might have another life as a hardwood floor or something besides mulch, Chris was looking into it. H.L. - Wayland, MA

We were really pleased with the work done (tree removal, move and rebuild rock wall, grading and patio) by Michael Lynch's crew. The initial estimate we received was pretty basic. I would have liked more detail outlined. There were a few communication glitches connecting to discuss the work in more detail, but once things started rolling we couldn't have asked for a more punctual, professional, hardworking & courteous crew. They arrived promptly when the said they would in the morning & put in several very long days until the job was completed. The job was extensive. They removed 5 trees in our backyard, moved and re-built a rock wall, graded the yard to improve the drainage (which required moving/adding a lot of loam), removed a large ivy bed, moved bushes/shrubs, prepared & built a bluestone patio & reseeded. We had two rainstorms with significant amounts of rainfall just after the work was completed. It was clear - even without grass yet, no pooling or puddling occurred. We're very pleased with the patio. We spoke with 4 other contractors before choosing to work with Lynch Landscape & Tree Service and are very happy with our choice. The price quoted was on par with other estimates (that is to say expensive just like everyone else who does this) I've had for the same services. I will likely use them again.
