    winterize irrigation

    Irrigation Closing

In the late Fall months, irrigation systems should be winterized to prevent costly and unnecessary damage that can be caused by cold winter temperatures. During the system closing, our technicians will perform the following tasks:

-Close water valves to stop the flow of water to the irrigation system.

-Close valves leading to outdoor spigots as agreed upon (case by case basis)

-Connect air compressor to backflow preventer or another point of connection to introduce compressed air into the irrigation system.

-Open each zone manually to allow compressed air to flow through all of the piping and other components of that zone until all moisture has been removed

    -Turn off the irrigation controller.
