Shrubs and trees, when planted, are usually purchased in containers or balled and burlapped (B&B). Generally, container-grown plants are the easiest to plant as the shrub has been growing over time in a container. The roots are often transferred easily, and some shrubs can be fairly large in container form. B&B shrubs and trees can be rather large and are typically grown in a nursery.
