February 28, 2021Irrigation Mid-Summer Audit
In the summer months, plantings and turf require increased watering to survive the extreme temperatures and drought conditions. It is important that your irrigation system be evaluated to be sure that no damage or issues have occurred since the spring opening. Watering programs must also be assessed as they may need to be adjusted for increased watering volume and/or frequency. During times of drought, many towns restrict watering to specific days or intervals. Irrigation schedules may need to be reprogrammed to comply with town watering restrictions, in order to avoid fines. Our team of technicians will cover the following tasks when performing a summer checkup of your irrigation system:
-Check controller to be sure that date, time, and schedules are correct
-Increase watering frequency or volume for turf and plantings
-Create special watering programs to comply with town water bans as needed
-Create cool-down cycles to help cool soil temperatures for turf which can reduce burnout during extended periods of heat
-Check the orientation of all rotary and spray heads for proper coverage
-Check the functionality of all drip lines and/or spray heads for plantings
-Check the functionality of the rain sensor (if applicable)
-Report necessary repairs and estimated costs.
-Repairs are billed on an hourly basis plus parts
